A Message from our Founders
About Second Saturday
There are four divorces every minute in this country, totaling over 2.4 million divorces per year.
People think that divorce is about the law, but it’s really about three things: family, emotion and money.
You’ve come to the right place.
We created Second Saturday Online to help everyone in any stage of untying the knot. It is based on the critically acclaimed Second Saturday Divorce workshops that we founded back in 1988 in San Diego.
Second Saturday has helped almost 10,000 women successfully navigate the financial, legal and emotional issues surrounding what can be an emotionally wrenching, devastating and costly life transitions. The $45 fee has raised well over $400,000 for scholarships, donations, and programs at The Women’s Institute.
Second Saturday has been replicated nationally and has spun off a Divorce Workshop for Men and one for Parenting after Divorce.
No matter where you live in this country or what time of day or night it is, we are here for you with resources that make this time in your life less traumatic, costly, complex and overwhelming. Taking charge by becoming informed is your first step – along with getting a good night’s sleep.
Second Saturday founders, Candace Bahr and Ginita Wall, have been aided in their quest by Elizabeth Bryan, who works for WIFE.org and volunteers her time and talent at Second Saturday. Elizabeth has walked her own path.
